Understanding canine fear, reactivity and aggression is an
important part of becoming a knowledgeable professional
dog trainer. By recognizing the early signs of fear and
stress, trainers can help clients prevent problems from
escalating and intervene before unwanted behaviours
including aggression become more serious.

The CCS Professional Canine Aggression Therapy Module
teaches you about the causes and development of canine
fear, reactivity and aggression, along with identification,
prevention, early intervention, behaviour modification and rehabilitation using positive, scientifically based methods.

Not every professional dog trainer chooses to work
directly with aggressive dogs, and many prefer to refer
aggression cases to specialists, however, every trainer
benefits from understanding fear, aggression and reactivity
so they can help prevent problems, recognize early
warning signs, provide early intervention
and appropriate guidance to their clients.

For those who choose to work with aggression cases, the
module also addresses safety and teaches you how to help
clients build trust, encourage new behaviours and develop
greater confidence and resilience in their dogs.

Study online at your own pace with no deadlines and
receive ongoing mentoring and support throughout
your studies and even after graduation.
