Module #1 - Professional Dog Training
The CCS Professional Dog Training module will teach you how to train dogs using scientifically proven and positive methods designed to protect the dog’s temperament and emotional wellbeing. You will learn how to create new behaviours using the latest up-to-date dog training techniques and put them on cue through a wide variety dog training protocols including; luring, capturing, targeting and shaping techniques. It will also teach you how to run professional dog training classes and solve dog-training problems.
Module #2 - Professional Canine Behaviour Therapy
You will encounter puppies and dogs in your classes and private consultations with an array of behaviour problems. Professional dog training is not just about putting behaviours on cue, it also involves helping your clients overcome behavioural issues. There is rarely a class that I teach where I’m not asked about at least one dog behaviour problem.
A good dog trainer is not only skilful at training dogs but is also well versed in canine behaviour, problem prevention, early intervention, behaviour and aggression rehabilitation solutions. The CCS Professional Canine Behaviour Therapy module prepares you to answer all of your client’s questions and help solve all of their canine behaviour problems.

Module #3 - Professional Canine Aggression Therapy
Fear is the cause of most dog bites and unless we nurture confidence through positive dog training and socialization by the end of the socialization period, fearful dogs are likely to grow into anti-social, reactive and/or aggressive dogs. By understanding canine fear, aggression and reactivity, we can intervene and turn these potentially aggressive dogs into well trained dogs with resiliency and confident temperaments.
Many dog trainers choose not to work with aggressive dogs but instead refer these dogs to other trainers. This is perfectly acceptable however, every professional dog trainer should understand canine behaviour, fear, aggression and behaviour modification in order to prevent dog fear, dog aggression and dog reactivity and effectively intervene in its early stages. The CCS Professional Canine Aggression Therapy module teaches you about understanding, identification, prevention, intervention and rehabilitation, and for those who choose to work with aggressive dogs, how to keep everyone safe while helping our clients nurture trust and new behaviours in their dogs.
